WhatApp has introduced the highly anticipated voice message transcription feature. Furthermore, this amazing feature is finally making its way to Android devices after its initial debut on iOS. Currently, this feature is only introduced to beta testers but it will soon be released to all WhatsApp users. Plus, it will be transcribed voice messages in five different languages. In this way, all WhatsApp users will soon be able to read written transcriptions of their voice messages. It would not be wrong to say that this is the most significant update for WhatsApp users.
On the other hand, if you are the part of the beta program then you can enable the feature by following these steps:
- First of all go to the app settings menu and select the “Chats” option.
- Turn on the voice message transcription feature from this menu.
- After that, WhatsApp will ask you to download a language data pack. This data pack will enable speech recognition for transcription.
- When this pack is downloaded on your device, then the transcription feature will automatically transcribe voice messages.
- However, users can choose their preferred language within the voice message bubble..
According to reports, all WhatsApp users have to wait for a few more weeks to test this latest update. At the moment, WhatsApp will only transcribe voice messages into 5 languages including English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, and Hindi. These five languages are for Android users but iOS users can enjoy a broad range of languages. However, it is expected that WhatsApp will add more languages for Android users in the future.
