WhatsApp is introducing a new feature for Status updates to enhance its services for its users. This new feature will allow users to react with a “Like” button on status bar. Plus, this feature is available only on Android beta version (2.24.17.21).
Also, beta version users can see a heart-shaped icon next to the “Reply” text box when viewing a Status. Therefore, this enables them to quickly Like a Status update with full freedom.
Most importantly, when someone reacts your status with like button then it will be visible in the Status viewers’ list. This new feature is similar to Instagram Stories and it is in development stage for months. However, it is now being tested, indicating that it will be publicly released soon.
Moreover, WhatsApp is enhancing user security and privacy to increase trust and engagement of users. The new security feature will allows users to block messages from unknown accounts without any trouble. When this new function is enabled, then it will automatically block messages from unfamiliar accounts if they exceed a certain limit.
In this way, WhatsApp is going to provide an extra layer of protection against spam and unwanted messages. More specifically, this feature aims to give users more control over their messaging experience. With enhanced security users can save themselves from receiving malicious or unwanted content from unknown senders.
